ABOUT GOD
God is the Creator and Ruler of the universe. He is eternally existent in three Persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. These three are one God and co-equal.
ABOUT JESUS CHRIST
Jesus Christ is the Son of God. He is co-equal with the Father and the Holy Spirit. Jesus was conceived by the Holy Spirit, was born a human child, lived a sinless human life and offered Himself as the perfect sacrifice for the sins of all people by dying on a cross. He rose from the dead after three days to win a victory over sin and death. He ascended into Heaven and will return again to earth someday to reign as King of Kings and Lord of Lords.
ABOUT THE HOLY SPIRIT
The Holy Spirit is co-equal with the Father and the Son. He is present in the world to make men aware of their need for Jesus Christ. He also lives in every believer from the moment of their salvation. He provides the believer with power for living, the understanding of spiritual truth, and guidance in doing what is right. He makes available to every believer spiritual gifts and abilities for the building up of the Church.
ABOUT THE BIBLE
The Bible is God’s Word to us. It was written by human authors under the supernatural guidance of the Holy Spirit. It is the supreme source of truth for Christian beliefs and living. Because it is inspired by God, it is truth without any mixture of error.
ABOUT HUMAN BEINGS
People are made in the image of God and are the supreme work of God’s creation. Although every person has tremendous potential for good, every one of us is marred by an attitude of disobedience toward God called sin. Sin separates people from God in this life and for all eternity.
ABOUT SALVATION
Salvation is God’s free gift to us. We can never make up for our sin by self-improvement or good works. Only by trusting in Jesus Christ and His death on the cross on our behalf can anyone be saved from sin’s penalty. When we turn over our self-ruled life and turn to Jesus in faith, we are saved. All those who are saved enjoy eternal life with God. All those who die in an unsaved condition will suffer eternal punishment in hell.
